medal It's not always pictures I frame, this was a medal from the Iraq War. A box frame was constructed with a deep rebate capable of housing the medal and I built up a hovering mount using foam board underneath. A brushed grey suede effect mount was chosen as I felt it complimented the formality of the award and still gave it a timeless and traditional approach to the job.The frame, though a dark wood and gilt colour that you may normally expect, was more modern in styling reflecting the youth of the client in question and indeed the present day situation of the conflict campaign it represented. We were not seeking to take a traditional approach but still to be respectful to the product. It was a clean and simple job and quite basic in its requirements.

kill bill Sometimes there may be a collection of features/memorabilia to fit in a frame. This customer had a collection of Kill Bill products which he wanted to house together in the one frame. A multi aperture mount is always a challenge but the outcome's often rewarding and I enjoy finding the best way to present things and how they best may read. So it need not be just one picture, you can have a more complicated and inclusive framing package if you require.
The customer even attached a replica samurai sword to the bottom of the frame once completed to finish the effect!
